When I won the annual Eagle Elite College Scholarship lottery, I was thrilled. After all, my grandma had just died and I wanted to take care of my aging grandpa -- he couldn't be a farmer in Wyoming forever. And graduating from Eagle Elite meant opportunity.

But I wasn't counting on meeting Nixon.

Nor was I counting on the rules of the Elect.

1. Do not touch The Elect.
2. Do not look at The Elect.
3. Do not speak to The Elect.

And worst of all? Don't discover the secret they hide, because in the end, you may just realize... it's about you.

After reading The Bet I was an instant Rachel van Dyken fan. So when I found out Elite was only .99 cents on Amazon, I had to buy it, of course.

The book starts with Trace and her grandpa arriving at the Eagle Elite College. She immediately finds out that the school is much different from what she expected. But what I liked about Trace is that she didn't let it get to her. She kept her head held high and tried to make the best of it. A lot of the stuff that came out of her mouth made me laugh. Especially the mooing, and other cow stuff cracked me up. I loved her wittiness and self-mockery.
And then we have Nixon. He's just my kind of guy; a hot and sexy bad boy. Even though he was acting like the biggest ass on the planet at the beginning of the book, particularly at the party, I liked him instantly.

In the end the book turned out to be a lot different from what I thought. There was a lot of mystery surrounding Nixon and his family at first. After Trace goes shopping with Nixon, his friends and his sister, there were a lot of questions that I would've demanded an answer to, but Trace just let it go. Like; who were they, why were they so rich and why did everyone treat them like celebrities?

I enjoyed Elite very much, so I'm giving it 4,5 stars. For some reason I was under the impression that there were already more books in this series, which isn't the case unfortunately. I have no idea when the second book is coming out, but I'm praying that it will be soon, because I need me some more Nixon!

Oh there's just one more thing. I don't understand the cover. If that's Nixon, then where is his piercing?
